KROSS AIR manufactures Fire Dampers, which are designed to stopthe spread of fire by means of localizing areas of fire zones, to prevent the distribution of fire through air conditioning ducts or walls in central HVAC systems. These Fire Dampers offer an effective fire barrier by maintaining integrity in a firesituation. And are ratedup to two to four hours ratings, combined with low leakagecharacteristics.
_ KROSS AIR Fire Dampers are suitable for installation in sheet
metal ductwork, or Fire walls or ceiling slabs made from
concrete or brick work.
_ KROSS AIR Fire Dampers are available in variety different
casings - all fully welded. Square & Rectangular, Round &
Oval and in both in Curtain and Multi blade for duct / wall
fixing with any sizing capability within minimum andmaximum
dimensions.
_ KROSS AIR models of Fire Dampers are available in curtain type and multi blade type, which are suitable for either low, medium and high velocity of air or pressure applications.
_ Standard Curtain blade type models are used for fire rating up to 2 hrs. Where as Multi blade type models can with stand up to a fire rating of 3 hrs. or more.
_ The above models feature a fail safe fusible link operation, that melts in fire conditions causing the damper to close and latch by force of stainless steel springs.
_ All dampers are manufactured in compliance to international standards and the company s quality control and quality assurance procedures and are confirmed to NFPA 90 A and UL 181 standards for erosion. NFPA requirements NFPA requires UL (Underwriters Laboratories) classified fire damperss follows.
_ 1-1/2 hour classified fire dampers are appropriate for use in walls, partitions and floors having fire resistance ratings of less than 3 hours. (NFPA standard 90A).
_ 3 hour classified fire dampers are appropriate for use in walls, partitions and floors having fireresistanc
ratings of 3 hours or more. (NFPA standard 90A).
Test Reports
_ KROSS AIR Fire Dampers are tested by Civil Defence Forensic Lab, Abu Dhabi for two hour testing and found satisfactory. And also approvved by local Civil Defence Authority (Dubai / Abudhabi).
